In a super important light heavyweight showdown tonight (Sat., Dec. 10, 2016) at UFC 206 from inside Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, surging powerhouse Misha Cirkunov continued his winnings ways by submitting red hot Nikita Krylov via first-round guillotine choke. It was Cirkunov's fourth finish in as many Octagon appearances.

Krylov came out of the gate aggressive and looking to land early, but after an ill-advised head kick went awry, Cirkunov made "The Miner" pay. The Latvian countered with a left hand that landed flush on Krylov. The Ukrainian dropped to his knees, Cirkunov jumped on his neck and locked in the memorable submission finish.

With this win, Cirkunov moves right into position to threaten the division's top 5 in 2017. He has showed no true weaknesses inside of the Octagon and has been a finishing machine since making his debut last year. He called out Mauricio Rua after this win, so we'll see what happens.
