Highlights! Watch Derrick Lewis knockout Shamil Abdurakhimov last night - UFC Fight Night 102

The UFC Fight Night 102 main event last night (Fri., Dec. 9, 2016), which took place inside Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y., was not going as planned, as headlining heavyweights Derrick Lewis and Shamil Abdurakhimov puttered and stuttered around the Octagon for more than 15 minutes. Lewis would try to chase down the Russian, while Abdurakhimov looked to avoid the power of "Black Beast" by circling away and timing underhooks along the cage. Little damage was done in the entire fight before Lewis gained top control in the fourth round and began to blast his counterpart with vicious ground-and-pound. Exhausted and overwhelmed, Abdurakhimov succumbed to the technical knockout finish.

With this win, Lewis extends his divisional win streak to five. While he didn’t finish Abdurakhimov in quick fashion like most fight fans would have hoped for, Lewis did record the stoppage to claim his seventh knockout finish since making his Octagon in 2014. That’s a staggering number and the reason why he’s quickly climbing towards title contention.
