GLORY 35 results: Live streaming updates for 'Vakhitov vs. Mwekassa' on ESPN3

GLORY kickboxing returns to Europe later today (Sat., Nov. 5, 2016) with GLORY 35 at Palais Nikaia in Nice, France., the promotion's first fight over seas since GLORY 31, which took place in Amsterdam.

The five-fight main card will be headlined by a Light Heavyweight title unification bout as current champion, Artem Vakhitov (16-5) faces interim champion, Zack Mwekassa (14-3) and will air live on ESPN3 at 5 p.m. ET / 2 p.m. PT with a replay broadcast on ESPN2 at 11 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. PT on Sunday, Nov. 6.

The GLORY 35 "Superfight Series" will air live on UFC Fight Pass beginning at 2 p.m. ET.

Mwekassa is coming off a technical knockout victory over Mourad Bouzidi at GLORY 31 this past June. Vakhitov, meanwhile, has been recovering from an injury after defeating Saulo Cavalari for the title by unanimous decision at GLORY 28 this past March.

In the co-main event, Pavel Zhuravlev (69-11) takes on Zinedine Hameur Lain (56-13).

The one-night, four-man tournament will take place in the Heavyweight division. In the semifinal match ups, Benjamin Adegbuyi (22-4) faces Hedsy Gerges (49-17-1) and Jafarr Wilnis (29-7-1) takes on Mladen Brestovac (49-11-1).

RD1: Jab by Avkhitov lands. Mwekassa throws a punch to the body. Punch to the body by Vakhitov. Vakhitov lands a low kick and Mwekassa falls down to the canvas. Mwekassa comes forward, but Vakhitov blocks them. Mwekassa goes to the body. Jab and a low kick lands for Vakhitov. Left blocked by Vakhitov. Vakhitov lands a low kick. One-wo combo bloked by Vakhitov and a low kick lands. Jab landed by Mwekassa backs up Vakhitov. High kick blocked by Vakhitov. Low kick lands for Vakhitov at the bell.

RD2: Combo for Mwekassa to start off the second. A jab backs up Vakhitov once more. One-two to the body by Mwekassa and he backs Vakhitov up with a puch kick. Left hand misses for Vakhitov. High kick misses by Zinedine. Body kick by Zinedine lands. Huge overhand right hand lands for Zhuravlev. He lands another right after a flurry and the ropes break Zinedine's fall and Gerold rules it a knockdown. Zhuravlev comes in for the kill and hurts Zinedine again. He stays on him and Zinedine was bent over and covering up. Gerold steps in and waves it off.
