Must be contagious.
Before we go nuts, let’s keep in mind that Charles Oliveira took this featherweight fight on short notice (just over three weeks), after BJ Penn got a boo-boo and sank last month’s UFC Manila card.
Still ... nine pounds?
Oliveira blew up the scale at 155 pounds for his featherweight bout against Ricardo Lamas. “The Bully,” being the good sport that he is, agreed to fight “Do Bronx” anyway, and take home a few extra greenbacks.
Per UFC, Charles Oliveira will be fined 30% of his purse and will only be allowed to add 10 more pounds for his fight with Ricardo Lamas.

Lamas weighed in at 146 pounds.
Oliveira, a former lightweight, has missed weight multiple times throughout his mixed martial arts (MMA) career. His main card bout against Lamas, airing on FOX Sports 1, takes place tomorrow night (Sat., Nov. 5, 2016) inside Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico.
