Jeremy Stephens calls out BJ Penn: We’re two legends of the sport, bro

New, comments

Who the fook is that guy?

Think Nik Lentz, without the poetry.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight legend Jeremy Stephens is itching to get back inside the Octagon after his unanimous decision loss to Frankie Edgar at the UFC 205 pay-per-view (PPV) event last weekend in New York City.

And while the legendary “Lil’ Heathen” is game enough to fight anyone in the top 30, he’d really like to stand and bang with former two-division champion BJ Penn, assuming “The Prodigy” can get back to full health.

His words:

“This is a challenge to any featherweight out there, top 20, top 30, I don’t give a fuck. If you guys wanna fight and you guys think that you guys are fighters, this is the fight business. I’m a veteran, you guys should be wanting to take me out. Open challenge to anybody. I personally want to send a challenge to BJ Penn. BJ, you wanna come back, I think you should fight me, bro. We’re two legends of the sport. You’re an OG, I’m an OG, let’s put it down, bro, you know we’ll stand and bang and let them hands go. BJ Penn if you want the fight anytime, anyplace, anywhere, we know you ain’t ready, you’ll probably pass that up. Any other 45’ers out there, let’s go, this is your chance, bring it, this is the fight business baby, this is the hurt business, I’ll fuck y’all up. Peace.”

Stephens is currently ranked No. 7 at 145 pounds.

Prior to his “Big Apple” loss to “The Answer,” Stephens, 30, captured a unanimous decision win over Renan Barao after the Brazilian abandoned his post at 135 pounds. Unfortunately, “Lil’ Heathen” has been unable to win back-to-back fights in over two years.

His biggest win to date is probably his 2008 knockout victory over ex-lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos.

Stephens vs. Penn ... who wants it?
