Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight champion Luke Rockhold recently suffered a knee injury and will no longer headline the upcoming UFC Fight Night 101 mixed martial arts (MMA) event in Melbourne, Australia, on Nov. 26, 2016.
That’s according to a report from MMA Fighting.
His opponent, Ronaldo Souza, may no longer be attached to the card, as the Brazilian’s manager is insisting that “Jacare” move on to fight Michael Bisping for the 185-pound title, even though “The Count” has his eyes set on Georges St. Pierre.
Bisping captured the crown by stopping Rockhold back in June.
"Michael Bisping is running from 'Jacare.'" Gilberto Faria said. "He is so scared of him. He'd rather fight someone like Dominick Cruz, who I would put my money on, by the way."
Rockhold defeated Souza by way of unanimous decision went they first went to war back in the Strikeforce days. But don’t worry about the American Kickboxing Academy (AKA) middleweight, he always has his looks to fall back on.
