While his high-powered attorney, James Quinn -- who "specializes in high stakes commercial disputes" -- works on a potential mixed martial arts (MMA) comeback, Georges St-Pierre is relaxing with an unidentified gal pal in South Beach, Miami. It's unclear exactly when the pictures were taken, but St-Pierre did reveal on the most recent episode of "The MMA Hour" that he intended to vacation while his looming legal battle takes shape.
Fortunately for us, TerezOwens.com has impeccable timing:
"Georges St-Pierre was spotted with a with a mystery woman in Miami.... To be honest I can't blame him .... I like Georges retired, nothing to gain besides dollars if he comes back. -- TO"
St-Pierre is the greatest Welterweight champion in UFC history (sorry, Matt Hughes). The French Canadian last appeared inside the Octagon against Johny Hendricks at UFC 167 in Nov. 2013, winning a razor-thin split decision. In his post-fight victory speech, St-Pierre shocked the MMA world, announcing that he was leaving (not retiring) the sport indefinitely. He later revealed a battle with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), as well as UFC's lack of drug test support, were among the key reasons he decided to take a break.
His decision to return now is curious, considering he is rich and seemingly enjoys a very enviable lifestyle for a 35-year-old "retiree." But, his work in MMA is apparently not done, regardless of whether or not he ever steps foot inside the Octagon again. Even if he has to fight the good fight from the sunny beaches of South Florida in the company of beautiful women.
