Jose Aldo will only accept Conor McGregor rematch next because it is his right

Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

It didn't take long for Conor McGregor to get his next fight after he dethroned Jose Aldo from the Featherweight mountain at UFC 194 last month (see it), as he will now look to claim the lightweight strap when he faces Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 197 on March 5, 2016 in Las Vegas.

Full details here.

For Aldo, though, the waters have been a bit murkier, as he has yet to be booked for another bout. Probably becasue he and his team are bent on getting a rematch against "Notorious," and nothing else.

"All champions who lost got an immediate rematch. So we will only accept that. We are fighting for a right that is ours," Jose told Globo Esporte via Bloody Elbow.

That rematch, though, seems highly-unlikely, as there is a line of competitors chomping at the bit to get their hands on the Irishman including Frankie Edgar, who will likely fight Conor for the 145-pound strap after the "RDA" fight.

A fight the Brazilian will win, says Aldo, as he also dispelled any rumors that he would fight his friend Rafael.

"I don't read things on the internet too much. I don't think there's any possibility of this fight against Rafael happening. He's a guy I care a lot about. But everything is up to the UFC. They call the shots. But I'm sure Rafael will win his fight against McGregor."

Should Aldo somehow not get his way, who do oyu think the former 145-pound kingpin face off against next?
