Team Alpha Male general Urijah Faber forged a relationship with former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz -- who is once again riding the pine due to injury -- back when they competed against one other in World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC).
Cruz downed Faber to even the score at UFC 132 back in July 2011, but was bitten by the injury bug, which has since limited him to just one Octagon appearance over the last four years: a 61-second beatdown over Takeya Mizugaki.
Looking forward to getting back into the cage, "The Dominator" has been sharing a war of words with Faber's teammate and current 135-pound champ T.J. Dillashaw -- who may or may not stab Faber in the back -- over the last two months.

In the meantime, while Faber gets ready for his recently announced return to the bantamweight division against Frankie Saenz at UFC 194, "The California Kid" has been paling it up with interim featherweight champion Conor McGregor on the set of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 22, which is set to premiere this Weds. (Sept. 9, 2015) on FOX Sports 1.
Against a coach who is "a lot cooler" than his TUF 15 adversary, according to his conversation with FOX Sports:
"I think Conor's a lot cooler than Dominick just in general. So the banter's been better. There's a little more mutual respect and some good banter back and forth. Conor's a dangerous guy, Dominick's not a dangerous guy. So that's a difference also. It adds an element that I like."
Burn!
