UFC 191 results: 'Johnson vs. Dodson 2' full play-by-play recaps for FOX Sports 1 'Prelims'

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to "Sin City" tonight (Sat., Sept. 5, 2015) for an entertaining UFC 191 pay-per-view (PPV), which takes place inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In the night cap, Flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson 22-2-(1) looks to rid himself of John Dodson (17-6) once and for all after previously besting the latter via unanimous decision (full fight here) back in Jan. 2013 at UFC on FOX 6. Since then, each fighter has went undefeated and launched many verbal shots the way of the other.

Preceding the main event is a fight that has been on many fans' dockets for quite some time as longtime Heavyweight veterans Andrei Arlovski (24-10) and Frank Mir (18-9) square off in the Octagon for the first time. Both men have come back from disastrous periods of their careers to turn back the clock and potentially fight for a title with a win.

However, that's not all.

Fight fans will be treated to a set of six "Prelims" bouts, beginning at 7 p.m. ET on Fight Pass, before transferring over to FOX Sports 1 at 8 p.m. ET for the remaining four.

Below are the results recaps for the four "Prelims" tilts on FOX Sports 1:

Paul Felder vs. Ross Pearson

Lightweight contenders looking to get back on the winning track took to the Octagon for a dazzling striking spectacle.

Felder catches Pearson with a nice knee to start us off. Another step-in knee connects for Felder. Pearson ties up the Taekwondo specialist. Felder turns the tables on him as the 155-pound duo battle in the clinch. The 30-year-old Felder continues to work the body. More good knees and an elbow from the Pennsylvania native. The pair separate at the midway point of round one. Pearson takes Felder down following a good level change. Felder looking to land elbows from the bottom. "The Real Deal" is trying to posture up from full guard. "The Irish Dragon" continues to employ an offensive guard. Felder is looking to wall walk and they are up with less than 60 seconds to go in the round. A muay-thai clinic from Felder is on display. He appears to slip throwing a spinning kick and Pearson takes advantage as round one ends.

The pair exchange leg kicks to begin round two. A good elbow finds the mark for Felder. Solid left hook from Pearson. Felder begins teeing off on the Brit with knees and short shots. An inside leg kick scores for the Alliance MMA product Pearson. A hard shot to the body connects for Felder. More body shots coming from Felder, whose timing has become impeccable. Pearson utilizes the double jab. Felder and Pearson clinch up for a brief period as round two comes to a close.

A left hook from Felder connects early in round three. Felder continues to look for the high kick and hook, while Pearson is still searching for the left hook counter. Pearson's head movement is something to watch. He's staying in this fight with excellent defense and footwork. Pearson ties up Felder with 2:56 left in the fight. He's doing a good job of limiting the offense of Felder in the clinch. Pearson scores with an inside leg kick and right hand. A left hook connects for Pearson. Felder hits the wheel kick and then scores with a left.

The winner: Ross Pearson via split-decision

Pearson improves his record to 18-9, while Felder drops his second-straight fight. His record falls to 10-2.

Francisco Rivera vs. John Lineker

"Cisco" faced off with "Hands of Stone" in what was a scintillating 135-pound clash of knockout artists.

Rivera is dropped early. The 25-year-old Lineker swarms, landing several unanswered shots. Rivera manages to stay in the fight and get back to his feet. The pair exchange on the feet for a brief period until the California native shoots for a takedown, which was the point in time where the Brazilian cinched up a guillotine choke, giving him his first win at bantamweight and third-straight win overall.

The winner: Lineker via first-round guillotine choke

Lineker improves to 26-7, while Rivera drops to 11-5. He is now 1-3 in his last four outings.

Jessica Andrade vs. Raquel Pennington

Andrade took on the struggling Pennington in a pivotal women's bantamweight rematch.

Andrade is taking it to Pennington right off the bat. She lands a good right hand, followed by a knee in the clinch. The 23-year-old has "Rocky" against the fence and eventually slams the latter on her back. We'll see what kind of ground game Pennington has. Butterfly guard for the 27-year-old. So far so good; the Colorado-based fighter is limiting the offense of the Brazilian. Andrade is looking to posture up and then takes Pennington's back. The pair are back to their feet and Pennington is aiming for a takedown. Short elbow and some knees find the mark for the 27-year-old. "Bate Estaca" reverses and secures her second takedown of the fight. Pennington is right back up and defending against the takedown. Andrade scores with her third takedown of the fight. Pennington is teeing off with elbows against the cage. Andrade is now wailing on Pennington. It's a constant series of reversals against the fence. The grappling ace Andrade ends round one with her fourth takedown of the fight.

Pennington starts round two with a good body kick, but Andrade retaliates with a right hand. A left and right hand score for Pennington. Her stand-up has greatly improved since over the course of her UFC career. They tie up 60 seconds into the round. A pair of hooks land for Pennington, who then follows with a brilliant level change and takedown. Andrade is back up and kneeing the facing of Pennington. We're half way through round two. A solid left hand cracks Pennington's jaw, followed by a knee to the body from Andrade. Pennington shoots for the takedown and ends up in a guillotine attempt from Andrade. Pennington is being patient and looking to separate her hands. Now she's in top with 60 seconds left in the round. Pennington finds Andrade's back as the latter looks to wall walk and get back to her feet. She finds Andrade's back, flattens her out and sinks in the fight-ending rear-naked choke with just two seconds left in round two. What a fight!

The winner: Pennington via second-round rear-naked choke

Pennington wins her second UFC fight via submission and improves her record to 6-5; not to mention it was a sweet birthday gift. Andrade drops the rematch and her third Octagon fight. Her record falls to 13-5.

Tiago Trator vs. Clay Collard

Two featherweights looking to start their first UFC win streaks went to war when Trator battled Collard.

Collard taking the center of the cage quickly. The two trade kicks. Collard keeping his hands low and is able to land a good body kick. The Brazilian is countering pretty well. Trator looking to drag this fight to the mat with under two minutes left. The American reverses him and ends up in full guard, where he is able to land some ground and pound. The 28-year-old Trator threatens with a leg lock and uses it to turn the tables on The Pit Fight Team member. He ends up in full mount eventually and then gets back mount. The pair get back to their feet with 30 seconds left, but Trator stays on him. He ends round one on the back of Collard.

Collard catches a kick and chases Trator down to start round two. A huge one-two combination finds the mark for Trator. Collard returns fire. Not much footwork shown by Collard, who goes for two spinning back elbows in succession. Trator, so far, is the more accurate fighter. Collard puts Trator on his back after a solid left hand connects. Trator tries to tie up an arm, but Collard escapes. Now Trator is on top with under two minutes left. He's working in side control. Now back to half guard. We are starting to see the difference in the pair's ground games. Trator is much better at control. The 22-year-old Collard turns the tables and sneaks out and begins to rain down punches on Trator as round two comes to an end.

Collard strikes first with a right hand, but Trator returns with a left. Inside leg kick for Trator and then a right hand behind it scores. He continues to land good kicks and counters. A left hook finds the mark for Collard. Trator connects with a heavy right hand and follows it with a body shot. Collard switching between orthodox and southpaw stances. He switches levels efficiently and gets the takedown with 90 seconds left in the fight. Pivotal moment in the fight. Trator gets up and stuffs a takedown attempt from Collard. The latter rolls for a leg lock, but his efforts are futile as the Brazilian ends round three on top.

The winner: Tiago Trator via split-decision

Trator wins his second UFC fight and brings his record up to 19-5-(2). Collard drops his second straight fight and falls to 14-7.
