Report: Miesha Tate vs Amanda Nunes bantamweight scuffle in the works for December

It's time to find out if top Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's bantamweight contender Amanda Nunes is, in fact, championship material.

We already know what Joe Rogan thinks.

According to Combate, the Brazilian is being lined up for a showdown against two-time division No. 1 contender Miesha Tate for a 135-pound tilt in December. While the promotion has yet to make anything official, they're likely to square off at either UFC 194 or The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 22 Finale, both of which take place in Las Vegas, Nevada.

That has to be a tough pill to swallow for Tate (17-5) -- winner of four straight -- who thought she was getting another crack at Ronda Rousey before that spot went to Holly Holm (more on that here). But there's no question a win over the dangerous Nunes (11-4) will leave the promotion with little choice.

But does the winner of Tate vs. Nunes fight Rousey ... or Holm?
