UFC 194: Demian Maia vs Gunnar Nelson, Max Holloway vs Jeremy Stephens set for Dec. 12

Could the night of Dec. 12, 2015 get any better?

UFC 194 is shaping up to be the pay-per-view (PPV) blockbuster of all PPV blockbusters.

Two Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) title fights, including the featherweight and middleweight belts, are plastered atop a sure-to-be sold-out mixed martial arts (MMA) event inside MGM Grand Garden Arena (more on the entire card here) on Dec. 12, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Now, two huge featherweight and welterweight contests have been added to the already stacked fight card which features the likes of Jose Aldo, Conor McGregor, Chris Weidman and Luke Rockhold.

Fresh off his first-round, technical knockout (doctor stoppage) victory over Charles Oliveira at UFC Fight Night 74 last month, Max Holloway (14-3) looks to make it eight in a row when he battles the immensely-durable Jeremy Stephens (24-11).

UFC officials announced the pairing earlier today.

Stephens is coming off a win in his own right; a blistering third-round, flying knee knockout of Dennis Bermudez at UFC 189 back in July.

Not to be outdone, former middleweight title challenger Demian Maia (21-6) will have fought off staph infection (gross picture herea second time to get in the cage with burgeoning 170-pound contender and McGregor teammate, Gunnar Nelson 14-1-(1).

After losing two-straight bouts between 2013-2014, Maia is on a roll once more, having reeled off three-straight wins dating back to May 2014. "Gunni" last fought at UFC 189 in July, defeating Brandon Thatch via first-round submission.

Fun fight.
