T-minus five days ... and counting!
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will rumble into Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, this weekend (Sat., Oct. 3, 2015), bringing with it a stacked pay-per-view (PPV) event that has numerous meaningful matches.
Chief among them is the UFC 192 main event between Light Heavyweight champion, Daniel Cormier, defending his 205-pound title for the very first time against top-ranked contender, Alexander Gustafsson. Cormier defeated Anthony Johnson earlier this year to claim the strap, which was vacated by Jon Jones after "Bones" got caught up in another legal situation.
Gustafsson was lined up to compete for that belt, but a devastating knockout loss to the aforementioned Johnson dashed those dreams. "The Mauler" is a former title challenger, dropping a close decision to Jones at UFC 165 back in Sept. 2013.
To get fight fans pumped for the face-punching festivities, the world's leading mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion rolled out the UFC 192 "Countdown" video, which you can see in the video embedded above.
UFC 192 will also feature a No. 1 contender Welterweight eliminator match between former division champion, Johny Hendricks, against wrestling rival Tyron Woodley, as well as the return of former Light Heavyweight champion, Rashad Evans, who will look to send Ryan Bader to the back of the line once again.
