Latest UFC rankings: Josh Barnett rises, Gegard Mousasi falls following UFC Japan

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has updated its "official" fighter rankings in the wake of last weekend's UFC Fight Night 75 mixed martial arts (MMA) event on FOX Sports 1, which took place on Saturday night (Sept. 26, 2015) inside Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.

As expected, former UFC heavyweight champion Josh Barnett enjoyed a bump in the 265-pound rankings, moving up to No. 6 after outpointing Roy Nelson in their five-round headliner (highlights). "Big Country" slips to No. 12 after what amounts to his third straight loss.

Elsewhere on the card, resurgent middleweight striker Uriah Hall debuted in the No. 10 spot by thrashing longtime veteran Gegard Mousasi (watch it). In defeat, "The Dreamcatcher" plummets to No. 8 and further distances himself from the 185-pound title.

That's not all.

Here's what the latest ranking field looks like courtesy of UFC.com. Note: (+/- = movement in rankings, *NR = Not previously ranked).
