UFC legend: Taxpayers stuck with the bill for Jon Jones and his 'little bastard' children

New, comments

Retired mixed martial arts (MMA) legend Don Frye, who rose to fame by steamrolling opponents in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) tournaments of yesteryear, is having a hard time coming to terms with the way Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) treated Nick Diaz.

Especially when you consider what may happen with Jon Jones.

Diaz was suspended from competition for a whopping five years after failing his UFC 183 drug test (marijuana), a "horseshit" punishment according to Frye, but one that pales in comparison to the decision to re-license Jones if and when the exiled ex-champ can resolve his legal woes.

Frye vents to Submission Radio:

"I think that the decision is horseshit. I think these guys don't know how to wipe their own ass, that's how retarded they are with their decisions. There's no reason for him to be suspended for five years for smoking dope. Everybody knows marijuana is a harmless drug and it's not a performance enhancing drug. They're going to turn around and they're going to give Jon Jones his license back? Jon Jones?...who is a multimillionaire and has three or four 'baby mamas' - which means you and everybody else who pays taxes are buying these little know? And he's wrecking cars and he's found with coke in his system twice and DUIs, and they're gonna get this guy fighting again? This guy should be done for life. And I like Jon Jones. I'm a fan of his as a fighter, but as a person, apparently, he's a piece of shit. Now they're going to let this guy fight, but not Nick Diaz who is just smoking marijuana? There's something wrong with these assholes."

Jones is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday to answer for this.

"The Predator" is no stranger to controversial headlines. In addition to asking UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey to "shut the hell up," Frye called former heavyweight kingpin Cain Velasquez an "idiot" for losing his strap to Fabricio Werdum.

And don't even get him started on UFC President Dana White...
