UFC Quick Quote: Conor McGregor and Urijah Faber's paths wont cross inside the Octagon

So much for that.

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

"I doubt it. I just don't see their career paths crossing that way. Anything is possible. Conor has a hard time making the 145-pound weight limit, and I can see him going up before going down."

-- For those of you hoping to ever see Urijah Faber mix it up with Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) interim featherweight champion Conor McGregor inside the Octagon, you better start looking forward to other fights. That's because UFC president Dana White revealed on TUF Talk that he doesn't see the two men crossing paths at this stage in their careers. According to White, the fact the "Notorious" has trouble hitting the 145-pound weight limit pretty much rules out any chance of him dropping to bantamweight. And since the fiery Irishman is currently sitting at the top of the 145-pound mountain (alongside Jose Aldo, of course) it would mean Faber has to earn his way to a title shot at featherweight. Something that's' easier said than done. Having said that, it behooves fight fans to take advantage and see the two men mix it up verbally on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 22, which airs every Wednesday night on Fox Sports 1; because you won't be seeing them tango inside the weight-walled cage.
