Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will welcome Josh Barnett back to the Octagon after nearly two years on the sidelines. Waiting to greet him will be fellow heavyweight hurter Roy Nelson, who joins "The Warmaster" in the UFC Fight Night 75 main event TONIGHT (Sat., Sept. 26, 2015) inside Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
Their five-round main event airs live on FOX Sports 1.
Prior to their showdown in "The Land of the Rising Sun," Barnett and Nelson served as coaches for the promotion's international mixed martial arts (MMA) reality show, dubbed "Road to UFC: Japan." The featherweight finale between Mizuto Hirota and Teruto Ishihara takes place on the UFC Fight Night 75 main card.
Barnett (33-7) was last seen getting squashed by heavyweight contender Travis Browne. Before going limp against "Hapa," the former "Babyfaced Assassin" was the winner of two straight, including a technical knockout win over ex-division champion Frank Mir.
Nelson (20-11), meanwhile, is trying to slam the brakes on his two-year skid, one that saw him win just one fight out of his last five. After Mark Hunt smashed him last year in Japan, "Big Country" was pushed around by Alistair Overeem in Texas.
Must win?
