What will become of former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion Jon Jones?
We'll find out in roughly one week.
"Bones," who avoided a grand jury following his arrest for felony hit-and-run earlier this year, will report for his plea hearing in Second Judicial District Court in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on Tues., Sept. 29, 2015, according to MMA Fighting.
Time to face the music.
His punishment will go a long way in determining if and when the former pound-for-pound great returns to the Octagon and settles this not-so-old score. The timing couldn't have worked out any better, from a fan's perspective, as the 205-pound strap -- taken from Jones in light of his legal woes -- will be up for grabs at UFC 192 the following Saturday.
More on the upcoming "Cormier vs. Gustafsson" pay-per-view (PPV) card, which takes place on Oct. 3, 2015 in Houston, Texas, right here. Until then, all we can do is wait.
Tick-tock, tick-tock.
