WSOF champ David Branch talks Teddy Holder fight, offers Jon Jones advice

The reigning World Series of Fighting (WSOF) middleweight champion talked to Mike Straka of MMA Noise about fighting Teddy Holder on September 18th for the inaugural light heavyweight title.

David Branch is already a success at middleweight as a World Series of Fighting (WSOF) titleholder, but tonight (Sept. 18th), he'd like to branch out into new territory.

Now just one win away from potentially becoming the first WSOF fighter to hold belts in two weight classes, Branch talked to Mike Straka of MMA Noise about the challenge ahead in Phoenix, Arizona.

"I feel great. I'm one of the biggest '85s in the world. Getting down there, when I get down to 190 it's tough. But now my weight is really good. I'll have the speed factor, the strength factor, nobody's gonna really bully me around at 205, or '85, so this one I won't have to kill myself as much cutting weight. I'm really excited for this one because I've been training a longer time for this one than my last fight, and I can't wait to see how my body's gonna react out there."

Branch also offers some thoughts on the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon "Bones" Jones.

"I wish I could talk to him. I would say a lot of great things to him, because he's great. I would only give him constructive criticism. I understand that we all have issues in life and things that we go through. I'm not one to come down on the things that he's done. I'd love to have a talk with him. I'd love to see him come back. I love watching him fight. I think he's a great fighter - he's one of my favorites to watch."
