Road to Rousey: Cris Cyborg dropping to 140 for next Invicta fight

Invicta Fighting Championship featherweight titleholder Cristiane Justino insists she's dropping to bantamweight to retire reigning Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey (see those comments here).

She's just taking her sweet time.

The Brazilian will first try her luck somewhere in the middle, as Invicta FC President Shannon Knapp announced at last weekend's "Evinger vs. Kianzad" press conference that "Cyborg" will make her 140-pound debut later this year, against an opponent to be name inside a venue to be determined.

Stop me if you've heard this one before.

While "Rousey vs. Cyborg" is the fight that most fans of women's mixed martial arts (MMA) are interested in watching, Justino may need the fight more than "Rowdy," since the UFC champ is already slotted against Holly Holm in November and then plans to film "Road House" in 2016.

And we first have to see if Justino can even make the weight...
