Mixed martial arts (MMA) fans who just can't get enough of combat sports between Bellator 142: "Dynamite 1" and World Series of Fighting (WSOF) "Gaethje vs. Palomino 2" now have even more fights available this weekend.
Combate Americas, which recently added Alberto del Rio to its announce team, has inked a new partnership with over-the-top streaming service Yaveo, a member of the DirecTV and AT&T family, which will broadcast all preliminary bouts for Combate Americas: "Road to the Championship."
The main card will air this Thursday night (Sept. 17, 2015) live on NBC Universo, headlined by "Junior" Ramiro Hernandez (17-7) vs. Max Ceniceros (7-2). On the same night, former Invicta FC fighter Nicdali Rivera Calanoc (8-8) returns to face Katy Collins (2-1).
"We are thrilled to have Yaveo on board for our exciting, new live event series," said Combate Americas CEO Campbell McLaren. "Yaveo and Combate Americas are like-minded in their goal of serving the fastest growing U.S. demographic with a first-rate entertainment platform, so this partnership is a fantastic fit that will generate action-packed sports content, and allow us to grow together."
Yaveo's live feed before NBC Universo will be available on demand along with the rest of the main card on Thursday night, along with "exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of Combate Americas."
