While it may not be the bout or opponent she was looking for, Sarah Kaufman 17-3-(1) will soon be inside the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Octagon.
That's because the UFC women's bantamweight contender is pegged to face Germaine de Randame (5-3) on an expanding UFC on FOX 17 card on Dec. 19, 2015 inside Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, which already features a lightweight championship headliner between Rafael dos Anjos and Donald Cerrone
The 29-year-old Kaufman has spent the last several months clamoring for a fight against former 135-pound title challenger Miesha Tate, as well as an assortment of figures within the women's bantamweight Top 10.
Kaufman is searching for consistency in UFC as she currently boasts a less-than-stellar 1-1-(1) Octagon record. The former Strikeforce women's bantamweight champion fell via submission in a trilogy tussle with Alexis Davis back at UFC 186 in April.
Unlike Kaufman, Randamie is coming off a dominant victory, which saw her dispose of Larissa Pacheco at UFC 185 back in March with strikes in the second round. "The Iron Lady" holds a 2-1 UFC record.
