In case you missed the big announcement during the promotion's "Go Big" pep rally press conference (video replay here), Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will stage three mixed martial arts (MMA) events -- in a row -- across all three of its current broadcast platforms.
Dec. 10, 11, and 12 will feature UFC Fight Night 80 (UFC Fight Pass), The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 22 Finale: "Edgar vs. Mendes" (FOX Sports 1), and UFC 194: "Aldo vs. McGregor" (pay-per-view), all of which will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The first fight added to UFC Fight Night 80, slotted for "The Chelsea" at Cosmopolitan hotel in "Sin City," is a lightweight showdown pitting longtime veteran Jim Miller against TUF 15 champ Michael Chiesa, according to a report from UFC Tonight.
Miller (25-6, 1 NC) was able to rebound from consecutive losses by outpointing Danny Castillo last July on FOX. Chiesa (12-2), meanwhile, is coming off a decision win over Mitch Clarke after falling to Joe Lauzon at UFC Fight Night 50 in late 2014.
No other bouts have been announced for UFC Fight Night 80, but considering we're exactly three months away, you can expect new pairings to start trickling in over the next few weeks.
Stay tuned.
