No point in crying over spilled cupcakes.
Top ranked women's bantamweight contender Jessica Eye will make a quick turnaround at the upcoming UFC 192 pay-per-view (PPV) event, when she fights The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 18 champ Julianna Pena on Oct. 3, 2015 inside the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
UFC announced the booking on Wednesday.
Eye (11-3, 1 NC) is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Miesha Tate at the UFC on FOX 16 mixed martial arts (MMA) event last month in Chicago, Illinois. "Evil" was likely one fight away from a crack at the 135-pound crown, but will have to start over in what could be a very dangerous match up.
That's because Pena (6-2) has looked unstoppable since her debut on the combat sports reality show, where she ripped through the other contestants en route to securing the glass trophy in late 2013. After a knee injury sidelined her for nearly a year, "The Venezuelan Vixen" returned with a technical knockout win over Milana Dudieva.
UFC 192 will be headlined by the light heavyweight title fight pitting newly-crowned champion Daniel Cormier against former division No. 1 contender Alexander Gustafsson. Elsewhere on the card, Rashad Evans returns from injury to tangle with Ryan Bader.
