Two Ultimate Fighter (TUF) veterans will collide in a welterweight main event when Kelvin Gastelum (TUF 17) goes head-to-head with Matt Brown (TUF 6) in the main event of UFC Fight Night 78, set for Nov. 21, 2015 at Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico.
UFC announced the FOX Sports 1 headliner on Tuesday.
Gastelum (11-1) returns to the welterweight division after a quick pit stop at middleweight, prompted by a pair of failed weight cuts. While there, the Arizonian beat the stuffing out of Nate Marquardt at UFC 188, running his Octagon record to 6-1 with three finishes.
Brown (20-13), meanwhile, is looking to build on his submission win over Tim Means at UFC 189. Grounding the "Dirty Bird" snapped a two-fight losing streak and "The Immortal" needs a couple of big wins to get back into the welterweight title hunt.
UFC Fight Night 78, which also features the live finale of TUF: "Latin America 2," recently added the lightweight match up between TUF 8 winner Efrain Escudero and Brazilian stalwart Leandro Silva. Tickets go on sale to the general public on September 11.
