Brendan Schaub on Ronda Rousey: You hate on Mayweather, but your boyfriend is beating the s--t out of his wife

Brendan Schaub, who found himself the center of attention for these comments on former love interest Ronda Rousey, hates the mixed martial arts (MMA) media (get in line, bub) because he insists we/they twist his words and set the sport back with TMZ-style reporting.

Wait until he sees this.

"Big Brown" commented on Rousey's rumored relationship with Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight contender Travis Browne, who was recently put on ice while the promotion investigates allegations of domestic abuse (more on that here).

"It's tough when you're like, 'uh don't be a do-nothing bitch' and you hate on [Floyd] Mayweather, and then your boyfriend's over here beating the shit out of his wife," Schaub said on his latest podcast (via Bloody Elbow). "And not to mention, he's still married. So it's tough when you're a role model."

Rousey has long been critical of boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather Jr., who served jail time for domestic violence. That would seem to contradict a relationship with someone accused of similar misconduct; however, it's important to note that Browne has not been charged with a crime.

Nor has either party confirmed that Rousey and "Hapa" are actually dating.

Either way, it's not yet known how much -- or any -- negative publicity awaits the face of women's mixed martial arts (MMA), as "Rowdy" has yet to comment or defend herself from the accusations pouring in from Browne's wife (sample here).
