Junior dos Santos: 'I hope Alistair Overeem doesn't fail his drug test this time'

It's understandable if Junior dos Santos is pessimistic.

After all, this is the third time Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has tried to pair him with Alistair Overeem. The first time, at UFC 146, the Dutchman failed a surprise drug test and got his license pulled for nine months. Then "Demolition Man" suffered a "slight" injury ahead of UFC 160 and was forced to withdraw.

Third time is the charm?

"I don't choose opponents, but I'm not gonna lie -- it will feel great to shut this guy up," Dos Santos said on his official Instagram account (via MMA Fighting). "USADA let's work. I hope he doesn't fail the drug test this time."

If he does, it could send the chatty Overeem to the bench for several years.

They'll do the deed (we hope) at the upcoming UFC on FOX 17 mixed martial arts (MMA) event on Dec. 19, 2015 inside Amway Center in Orlando, Florida (details). Can a clean "Reem" topple "Cigano" ... or will the Brazilian's injury layoff come back to bite him in the keister?

Hopefully we'll get to find out in less than four months.
