Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight Charles Oliveira suffered a torn esophagus in his technical knockout loss to Max Holloway (watch it) at the UFC Fight Night 74 mixed martial arts (MMA) event on FOX Sports 1 last Sunday night (Aug. 23, 2015) in Saskatoon.

According to a report from MMA Junkie, the Brazilian will spend the next couple of days in Canada as he recovers from his latest mishap. "Do Bronx" recently revealed he was injured in training camp prior to his "Blessed" showdown inside SaskTel Center and "went numb" after hitting the cage.
Tough break.
While Oliveira is already campaigning for a rematch, the No. 5-ranked Holloway -- winner of seven straight -- is likely to move forward and face a fighter ranked in the top three of his division. Whether or not UFC grants his Frankie Edgar request remains to be seen.
