UFC Fight Night 74 video highlights: Watch Max Holloway vs Charles Oliveira match up, including fight-ending injury

It was just too good to be true ...

Sometimes it's just not meant to be.

Whatever it was -- call it an act of divine intervention or what have you -- the mixed martial arts (MMA) Gods didn't want to see promising young Featherweight talent throw leather in the main event of UFC Fight Night 74 last night (Sun. Aug. 23, 2015) inside SaskTel Centre, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.

The fight between two Top 10-ranked Featherweight contenders, Max Holloway and Charles Oliveira (recap here), was over before it ever really got started. "Blessed" began round one of the five-round headliner by working his highly-touted striking game, leveling "Do Bronx" with pulsating body shots.

The aforementioned body shots caused Oliveira to shoot in for a double-leg takedown, which the Hawaiian wanted no part of. In the process of pursuing the shot, the 25-year-old Brazilian appeared to injure his shoulder and/or collarbone and waved the fight off on his own upon getting up to his feet.

The fight lasted little more than 90 seconds.

Nonetheless, Aawin is a win, and Holloway continues that trend notching his seven-straight "W." His overall record improves to 14-3, while Oliveira's drops to 20-5-(1).
