UFC Fight Night 74 results: 'Holloway vs Oliveira' full play-by-play recaps for Fight Pass 'Prelims'

Jean-Yves Ahern-USA TODAY Sports

UFC Fight Night 74 takes place tonight from SaskTel Centre in Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Canada, tonight (Sun. Aug. 23, 2015).

Capping things off later in the evening will be a main event barn burner, pitting two of the Featherweight division's rising stars against each other when Max Holloway (13-3) meets Charles Oliveira 20-4-(1). Both men are heading uphill in the 145-pound division and come into the bout on six- and four-fight win streaks, respectively.

However, before we get to the night's main courses, Maniacs are treated to an interesting set of six "Prelims" undercard tilts scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. ET on Fight Pass, before transferring over to FOX Sports 1 starting at 7 p.m. ET.

Below are the results for the two Fight Pass "Prelims" bouts:

Shane Campbell vs. Elias Silverio

Potent lightweights put it all on the line looking to start new win streaks when Campbell went toe-to-toe with Silverio.

The lightweight duo exchange body kicks to begin round one. Silverio catches a kick and takes Campbell down briefly, but they're back to the feet quickly. The 28-year-old Brazilian hangs onto the Canadian and has his back as both men are up against the cage. Campbell is looking to turn into Silverio and escape the clinch. "Xuxu" tosses "Shaolin" down to the mat and lands in the latter's full guard. Butterfly guard now for Campbell with 2:45 left in the first round. He's doing a great job defending any advancement and ground and pound from Silverio. Silverio back in Campbell's full guard with less than 2:00 left. Campbell explodes out from the bottom, but Silverio gets back mount. Silverio gets lazy and Campebell turns the tables, landing in his full guard. The pair are back to the feet, where Campbell lands a nice knee and uppercut before round one ends.

Silverio connects with a good body kick to start round two. He then lands a heavy leg kick and presses in for a takedown. Silverio is landing some nice dirty boxing against the cage, but Campbell gets the fight to the ground and begins kicking the legs of the Brazilian. The 27-year-old hits a nice Judo throw and begins working in half guard. Silverio scoots over to the fence, but Campbell stays on him. Not much ground and pound from him. Campbell is pouring it on Silverio after he makes it back to his feet with 90 seconds left. A straight right hand and body kick score for him. Campbell lands his second takedown of the round. He has the back of Silverio. Campbell holds the position for the remainder of round two.

Early leg kick from Campbell to start round three. Hard leg kick by Silverio is returned by Campbell. A big shot for a takedown from Silverio is negated by a great sprawl by Campbell. Silverio gets him to the ground momentarily, but stays on his back. Silverio continues to hang onto the back, but manages no offense. Campbell begins wailing on Silverio after the two separate from the clinch. He lands a couple of good shots. Campbell gets Silverio down to the mat with 45 seconds left. Huge points scored by him. He lands a few quality shots before the final bell sounds. Campbell nabs his first UFC win by unanimous decision. He improves his overall record to 12-3, while Silverio drops his second-straight fight and sees his record fall to 11-2.

Misha Cirkunov vs. Daniel Jolly

Two light heavyweight Octagon newcomers aimed to start their UFC careers off right  with a win.

Jolly goes for a couple of high kicks early and then lands a clean right hook. Push kick scores for Cirkunov. The 28-year-old clinches with the Texan and trips him for the takedown. He's in side control. Jolly gets up with 3:30 left, but is dragged right back down to the mat. North-south position for the Latvian. Cirkunov grabs his back as Jolly gets right up to his feet. He then turns into Cirkunov, takes him down and lands in his full guard. Exciting first round of action so far. "The Werewolf of Texas" allows Cirkunov back to his feet with just over two minutes left in the round. Cirkunov rips a shot to the body. Jolly lands a good knee in the clinch, but Cirkunov trips him and lands in the former's full guard. He's got 90 seconds left to work. Cirkunov is landing some good shots to the ears of Jolly. He continues as Jolly offers nothing in return and subsequently picks up the win by technical knockout. Cirkunov improves his overall record to 10-2, while Jolly sees his undefeated record take a hit as he drops to 5-1.
