Former Pride FC legend Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic turned back the clock, downing previous foe Gabriel Gonzaga at UFC Fight Night 64 back in April, and now he has plans to continue his mixed martial arts (MMA) resurgence at Ultimate Fighting Championship's (UFC) inaugural trip to Seoul, South Korea.

The soon-to-be 41-year-old made the aforementioned announcement on both his Twitter and Facebook social media accounts. Cro Cop 31-11-2-(1) made his return to the Octagon following a 3.5 years layoff, exacting revenge on "Napao" in Krakow, Poland.

He's currently riding a three-fight win streak and is 4-1 in his last five fights.

Cro Cop has yet to make the opponent known -- nor has UFC -- but it appears one is already gunning for a match up with the renowned kick boxer. According to MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani, perennial UFC Heavyweight contender Matt Mitrione would welcome a tussle with Cro Cop.

"I would be honored to fight a legend like Cro Cop in Korea," Mitrione said. "We would put on a fantastic show for those fans. I'd be happier than hell."

It would appear "Meathead" is settling in this instance after failed call-out's of Travis Browne and, most recently, Antonio Silva. Mitrione himself was on a tear of late, dominating the likes of Shawn Jordan, Derrick Lewis and Gonzaga in 2014.

However, he paid the price after gambling against Ben Rothwell in the first round of their tussle at UFC Fight Night 68 back in June, succumbing to a disheartening guillotine choke.

Though this bout is far from official, it would make for an exciting stand-up exchange ... while it lasts.
