It was a late start for the UFC 190 main event tonight (Sat., Aug. 1, 2015) inside HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, between women's Bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey against undefeated challenger Bethe Correia.
As usual, Rousey wasted zero time racing to the Octagon -- this was payback. And the look on the face of "Rowdy" was downright scary, dare I say murderous.
The girls refused to touch gloves and soon enough the fight was on. Mousey came out missing with a big right hand, and then another, before she got a hold of Correia and pinned her up against the fence. Rousey was relentless, furious in her attack.
Correia tried to escape her fury along the cage, but Rousey plugged her ear with a huge right hand along the cage as she tried to escape, dropping her to her knees. She tried to follow up with a few more punches while she was on the ground, nut referee "Big" John McCarthy pulled her off just 34 seconds into her assault.
She is incredible.
Final result: Ronda Rousey defeats Bethe Correia via first round technical knockout
