With a rare weekend with out an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) event, the world's preeminent mixed martial arts (MMA) organization will be back at it next weekend (Sat., Aug, 23, 2015) to stage UFC Fight Night 74 from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.
And it's going to be a good one.
Headlining the FOX Sports 1-televised event is Max Holloway takes on Charles Oliveira in a bout that could have major championship implications in the featherweight division.
Holloway looks to inch himself closer to his first-ever world title fight by extending his impressive win streak to seven. A streak he earned by taking out top competition such as Cub Swanson and Cole Miller.
Oliveira, though, will prove to be a stiff test, as he is riding a four-fight win streak, with his last loss coming at the hands of Frankie Edgar back in 2013.
Also on the card, Neil Magny makes a quick return to the Octagon after having his seven-fight win streak snapped by Demain Maia earlier this month to take on Brazilian welterweight star, Erick Silva. Also, Patrick Cote looks to get back in the win column when he faces Josh Burkman in a pivotal 170-pound showdown.
