Ilir Latifi, respectfully, has called out hard-hitting Fabio Maldonado to a light heavyweight scrap in Dublin, Ireland, inside the 3Arena -- formerly known as the O2 -- on Oct. 24, 2015.
Posting via his Facebook page page (via MMA Junkie) Ilir challenged Fab's to a scrap in Ireland because he knows firsthand just what kind of energy and noise the Irish people bring.
Fábio Maldonado, you are a great warrior and I heard that you can get ready in 6 weeks for a fight? I fought last year in Dublin and the crowd and atmosphere was fantastic. What about we put on a show for the Irish fans at UFC Dublin 24th of October?
Latifi was last seen knocking out Hans Stringer in the very first round at UFC Fight Night 72 earlier this year. The win got the Swede back on the winning track after having his two-fight win streak snapped by Jan Blachowicz.
As for Maldonado, he came up short against Quinton Jackson in "Rampage's" return fight at UFC 186 last April after the ringside judges gave the nod to the former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 2005-pound champion.
No word yet on whether or not Maldonado has accepted the challenger.
