Video: Watch UFC 192's Daniel Cormier pulverize Bigfoot Silva in Strikeforce

Former Strikeforce Heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier has parlayed his successes in the now-defunct mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion into an outstanding -- but bumpy -- Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) run, which culminated in his 205-pound title win over Anthony Johnson at UFC 187 last Memorial Day weekend.

That was "DC's" second opportunity at capturing gold in ZUFFA. The first time came against embattled former Light Heavyweight titleholder Jon Jones back at UFC 182 in January, where he fought valiantly over five rounds, eventually falling to "Bones" via unanimous decision.

There was, and still is, no love lost between Cormier and "Bones." If it were up to him, Cormier would ask for the former champion (via MMAjunkie), if he got his legal situation sorted out prior to the former's UFC 192 headliner against previous 205-pound title challenger Alexander Gustafsson in Houston, Texas.

For now, Maniacs can feast themselves on Cormier's mighty handiwork in Strikeforce when he trounced Antonio Silva in the second leg of the promotion's Heavyweight Grand Prix tournament. The 36-year-old Cormier made quick work of "Bigfoot" in Sept. 2011, finishing the Brazilian giant with strikes in just under four minutes.

Cormier owns victories over Frank Mir, Roy Nelson, Patrick Cummins, Dan Henderson and Johnson in UFC.
