California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) released the drug test results for all 22 fighters competing at the UFC Fight Night 71 mixed martial arts (MMA) event on FOX Sports 1, which took place last month (Sat., July 15, 2015) inside Valley View Casino Center in San Diego.
Fortunately, every fighter passed with flying colors, according to MMA Fighting:
[CSAC Executive Director Andy] Foster said there were 16 out-of-competition tests done, at least 20 WADA menu tests on fight night and as many as six carbon-isotope ratio (CIR) tests taken. The state of California has never implemented as many drug tests on one single MMA card.
UFC Fight Night 71 featured former division champion Frank Mir knocking out fellow heavyweight Todd Duffee (video), while Tony Ferguson handed Josh Thomson his final loss under the ZUFFA banner (replay) before "The Punk" bolted for Bellator MMA (details).
