"Wanderlei (Silva) talking about fixed fights. I dunno, I agree with him because I kick Forrest (Griffin's) ass the third time we fought. I knocked him down three times, I took him down four times, I gave him an ass-whooping. For the first time in UFC history, they give 'strikes attempted.' They credited him for that. What the fuck is strikes attempted? Wanderlei talks about fixed fights? Possibly. That was a fixed fight. I kicked his ass. Don't listen to Joe Rogan. Don't listen to the bullshit he has to say. Turn off the audio and watch that fight again. I broke his jaw, c'mon."
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion-turned-Bellator MMA title contender Tito Ortiz held a periscope interaction last week (via MMA Weekly) and was asked about Wanderlei Silva's accusations about UFC fixing fights (see those allegations here). Turns out "The Huntington Beach Bad Boy" is siding with "The Axe Murderer," as he believes the only way he could have lost his UFC 148 bout against Forrest Griffin is by way of scripted ending (tell that to Michael Johnson). This isn't the first time Ortiz cried foul over his final fight inside the Octagon (fishy!), but the ZUFFA legal team sprung into action once Wandy started chirping to the media. Could a similar fate await the UFC Hall of Famer, who continues to slam UFC President Dana White for his treatment of Cris Cyborg? Time will tell.
