UFC Fight Night 74 live stream results: 'Holloway vs Oliveira' play-by-play updates

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is bringing its brand of mixed martial arts (MMA) to the SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, for the first time ever TONIGHT (Sun., Aug. 23, 2015), featuring a FOX Sports 1 line up with "Prelims" on UFC Fight Pass.

Sunday = Fun day!

The UFC Fight Night 74 mixed martial arts (MMA) event will be headlined by a featherweight showdown pitting rising star Max Holloway opposite former lightweight Charles Oliveira. In the "Saskatoon" co-main event, Neil Magny looks to rebound from a recent loss at the expense of surging Erick Silva.

145 lbs.: Max Holloway vs. Charles Oliveira

Round 1: Low kick from Oliveira hits junk, spinning back kick from Holloway misses. Straight left to the body, bigger left to the body right after. Oliveira answers with a knee to the body. 1-2-3 form Oliveira. Holloway targeting the body with straight punches. One minute in. Nice uppercut from Blessed. Oliveira shoots in and pulls guard. Holloway waves him up. Oliveira apparently injured his shoulder at some point, so this is over. That sucks.

Final result: Holloway def. Oliveira by TKO (injury)

170 lbs.: Erick Silva vs. Neil Magny

Round 1: Magny changes levels, doesn't commit. Silva whiffs on a spinning elbow and Magny takes him down into side control. One minute in. Silva scrambles up and hits a nice outside trip, landing on top in guard. He passes directly to side control. Two minutes in. Elbow by Silva. Silva being uncharacteristically patient. Magny turns into him and hits an outside trip of his own. Two minutes to go.

Magny has the mount, now the back. Silva gets to his feet, Magny maintains the rear waistlock. Knee to the body by Magny. Magny takes him down and takes the back, flattening Silva out. Ground-and-pound from Magny. Silva survives the round. 10-9 Magny.

Round 2: Magny pops Silva with a right hand. Spinning back kick by Silva, who whiffs on a left hook. Jumping switch kick just misses, left hand does not. One minute in. Magny lands some punches, eats a heavy body kick. Silva stuffs a shot. Nice uppercut from Magny. Silva struggling with the American's length, but a body shot and leg kick land for him. Two minutes in. Good knee by Magny. Spinning back kick from Silva blocked. Most of his strikes are still falling short. Uppercut by Magny. Magny rushes into the clinch and Silva slams him down via bodylock. Two minutes to go.

Full guard for Magny. Magny tosses up his legs and Silva uses it to pass. Magny turns into him and clinches up against the fence. One minute to go. Magny doing good work in the clinch. He separates with less than half a minute to go. Magny cracks him with a right before the bell. 10-9 Magny.

Round 3: Low kick from Magny, glancing left hook by Silva. Low kick by the Brazilian. Left hook, low kick. Another leg kck and another. Magny making no effort to check these. Wild left hand by the Brazilian. Magny low kick met by a left hook. One minute in. Another pair of leg kicks and a heavy left hand by Silva. Magny's output has waned this round. Another leg kick. Magny clinches up and lands a knee on the break. Two minutes in. Uppercut by Magny. Magny catches a low kick and takes him to the fence, landing a right on the break. Lead right by the American. Two minutes to go.

Magny lands a nice series of jabs and a knee. He changes levels and takes Silva down against the fence, working to take the back. Silva hits a throw into half guard. Magny gets back to his feet. One minute to go. Silva reverses position on the fence. Combination from Magny after they separate. Silva runs after him until the bell. 10-9 Magny.

170 lbs.: Josh Burkman vs. Patrick Cote

Round 1: Low kick from Burkman to start. Side kick attempts. Body kick lands for him. Cote times a takedown attempt and drags Burkman to the fence, landing some short right hands until the separate. Hard right hand by Cote. One minute in. Heavy right hand by Burkman in return. Cote eats a knee to the body and ties up. Burkman shoves him away after taking some short knees. BIG punches by Burkman and Cote shoots in. Burkman briefly threatens the guillotine. Two minutes in. Burkman reverses and eats a knee before they separate. Good right hand by Burkman and they exchange wild punches before tying up. They split. Two minutes to go.

Cote catches a leg and tries to run the pipe. Short left hands, after which he changes levels. Shoulder strikes from Cote. Burkman reverses and takes an elbow. Another after landing a knee to the body. One minute to go. Hard left hand by Cote as they separate, met by an elbow from Burkman. MASSIVE right hand rattles Burkman. The People's Warrior gets his wits back and throws back before the bell. 10-9 Cote.

Round 2: Cote moving forward. Burkman whiffs on a spinning elbow. Right hand connects for Cote, who enters the clinch. One minute in. Some dirty boxing by The Predator. Low kick lands for Burkman. Two minutes in. Leg kick again by Burkman. Body kick by Cote and another. Burkman hits a nice trip into side control. Cote manages to scramble up and Burkman grabs the front headlock. Two minutes to go.

Cote pops his head out and they return to the center. Good exchange inside. Two-punch combo by Cote. 1-2 by Burkman. Good right lands for him, Cote answers in kind. One minute to go. Cote shoots and looks for a single-leg. He can't manage to keep him there. Burkman whiffs on a right hand and a spinning back kick. 10-9 Cote.

Round 3: They trade and Burkman puts Cote on wobbly legs. The Canadian covers up, then fires back with some heavy shots that make Burkman retreat. Wild haymakers in the early going. Burkman rushes in with a right hand that connects. Both just miss with big rights. One minute in. Side kick from Burkman. Short right from Cote. MASSIVE right hand flattens Burkman! Hammerfists and punches rain down and Patrick Cote is the first man to knock out Josh Burkman.

Final result: Cote def. Burkman by TKO (punches)

155 lbs.: Chad Laprise vs. Francisco Trinaldo

Round 1: Laprise fires a head kick right off the bat. Another, both blocked. Straight left by the Brazilian and head kick attempt. Low kick from Laprise. Head kick attempt, Trinaldo backs him off with a left hand. One minute in. Hard counters by Laprise, Trinaldo barrels through them with some big swings of his own. Head kick from Laprise, then a 1-2. Low kick from the Canadian. BIG left hand drops Laprise. Laprise manages to tie up and pull guard. Two minutes in. Trinaldo moves to the back and lands a series of jackhammer left hands, prompting Herb Dean to step in.

Final result: Trinaldo def. Laprise by TKO (punches)

155 lbs.: Olivier Aubin-Mercier vs. Tony Sims

Round 1: Low kick from OAM , who then shoots and takes Sims to the fence. He manages to complete the takedown; Sims on his rear against the fence. One minute in. Sims makes it to a knee. Sims makes it to the feet, so OAM heaves him up and slams him down. OAM takes the back as Sims tries to stand. Full back mount, including the body triangle. Two minutes in. He locks it up on the chin, can't get it. Sims still defending. Two minutes to go.

They continue to hand-fight. One minute to go. Sims tries to scramble, no success. OAM switches sides on the body triangle. Round ends there. 10-8 Aubin-Mercier.

Round 2: OAM shoots in, Sims shucks him off. Body kick from the Canadian, who shoots in for a single-leg. OAM gets him to a knee. One minute in. Sims tries to roll through, gives up his back and scrambles up. OAM takes him to another section of the fence. OAM completes the takedown into guard.Two minutes in. Sims tries a technical standup and OAM shoots in again. He completes the takedown again, putting Sims on his butt. Two minutes to go.

Sims manages to stand and separate. OAM shoots again and takes him to the fence. He completes the takedown. One minute to go. Round ends there. 10-9 Aubin-Mercier.

Round 3: Right hand lands for Sims and OAM wrangles him down on the fence. Sims makes it  up and they're in an awkward position. Good hammerfists and elbows from Sims. Hard shots by Sims. OAM manages to take top position. Two minutes in. Sims scrambles up and manages to separate. OAM shoots and Sims pulls guard on a guillotine. The Canadian gets his head out and takes side control. Two minutes to go.

Sims gives up his back. Body triangle for Aubin-Mercier. One minute to go. Nothing happens between there and the bell. 10-9 Aubin-Mercier.

115 lbs.: Valerie Letourneau vs. Maryna Moroz

Round 1: Body kick from Letourneau, then a low kick. They trade hard shots in the center. Nce left hook by Moroz. 1-2 by Letourneay. Counter right by the Canadian. One minute in. Letourneay is landing the cleaner punches thus far. Glancing head kick connects, after which Moroz lands some punches. Right uppercut from the Canadian. BIG right hand drops Moroz. Letourneau takes side control. Two minutes in. Moroz bringing her legs high. Hard left from Letourneau. Nice ground-and-pound. Two minutes to go.

Letourneau briefly gets the crucifix and lands some nice punches. Moroz tosses her legs up for a triangle-ish lock that's controlling Letourneau's head but not threatening to finish. One minute to go. Letourneau protecting her arm and they end the round in that odd position. 10-9 Letourneau.

Round 2: Body kick and short right from Moroz. Moroz touches the body, as does Letourneau with a kick. They trade inside, punches from Moroz and another body kick from Letourneau. One minute in. Letourneau's eye is marked up. Good right by the Ukrainian. Both land to the body. Stiff jb by Letourneau. Both women land right hands. Moroz body kick, Letourneau right hand. Two minutes in. Straight right, body kick, 2-1-2 by the Canadian. Momentum's shifting back towards the Canadian. They tie up, Letourneau forces her away. Both women land counters and Moroz just misses with a spinning elbow. Two minutes to go.

Moroz to the body, Letouerneau to the head. Good body kick and right hand from Letourneau. Nice right stings Letourneau, who catches a kick. Moroz jumps for an armbar, can't get it. Moroz in pursuit, Letourneau firing back with gusto. Elbows by the Canadian. One minute to go. Punching exchange inside. Right hands from Letourneau. Great round. 10-9 Letourneau.

Round 3: Body kick from the Canadian, then a solid counter that backs Moroz away. Right hand drops an off-balance Moroz, who quickly gains guard. She turns to attack the left arm with a Kimura. One minute in. Moroz drops the Kimura and Letourneau goes to work with short punches. Right hands continue to land for Letourneau as Moroz hunts for an angle. Two minutes to go. Letourneau's defense is holding up well and she's staying busy. Two minutes to go.

Letourneau hops over into half guard and lands an elbow before Moroz regains guard. Triangle attempt from Moroz and this one might be trouble. Letourneau postures out of it and lets her stand. They go back to exchanging on the feet. One minute to go. Good uppercut by Moroz. Body kick from Letourneau before the bell. 10-9 Letourneau.

Round 1: Good low kick from Stout trips Perez up. Body kick from Perez in return, then a lead right that connects. MASSIVE counter right drops Stout and Perez manages to pound him out in short order.

135 lbs.: Felipe Arantes vs. Yves Jabouin

Round 1: Jabouin fires off a punching combination and slams Arantes down into side control. One minute in. Not much going on at the moment. Arantes sweeps his way up and drills Jabouin with a couple of knees before getting taken down once again. Butterfly guard against the fence for the Brazilian. Two minutes in. Now hlaf guard. Arantes makes it to his feet and tries a bodylock takedown, only to land on the bottom. Elbows from the bottom by Arantes. Bigger elbow by Jabouin. Two minutes to go.

Arantes blasts him with an upkick and tries an armbar. He manages to turn into Jabouin but gets put on his back once again. Arantes looking for an armbar and uses it to sweep into top position. The Brazilian goes belly-down and earns the tap before long.

Final result: Arantes def. Jabouin by submission (armbar)

205 lbs.: Nikita Krylov vs. Marcos Rogerio de Lima

Round 1: Body kick from Krylov, then another and de Lima answers. The Brazilian is on the front foot. Krylov shoots in, right into a guillotine. Krylov gets his head out and moves to the back, looking for the choke. de Lima works up to his feet, eating shots from Krylov. One minute in. de Lima pulls guard on another guillotine. Krylov waits it out and takes top position. Two minutes in. The Brazilian rolls for a sloppy leglock and Krylov takes his back, grabbing the fence to do so. The Ukrainian works his forearm under the chin and earns the tap.

Final result: Krylov def. de Lima by submission (rear-naked choke

125 lbs.: Chris Beal vs. Chris Kelades

Round 1: Kelades shoots early and takes Beal to the cage. Beal reverses position and takes him down into half guard. One minute in. Short elbow by Beal, who then postures up and drops some heavy punches. Kelades regains full guard. Kelades tries and fails to kick him off, eating a few more punches. Two minutes in. Beal threatening an arm-triangle, Kelades gets his head out of danger. Kelades going nuts with heel kicks to the thigh. Kelades tries to turn into him and Beal takes full mount, smashing him with hard punches, including a Silva-Jardine style hit. Now the back. Two minutes to go.

Kelades manages to scramble up and shoot in. They separate when he can't get him down. Kelades shooting and swinging with gusto, gets put on his back for his trouble. One minute to go.  Full guard for Kelades. Kelades trying to get mission control, can't maintain it and works with butterfly hooks until the bell. 10-9 Beal.

Round 2: Hard counter left from Beal on the aggressive Kelades. Kelades shoots in, can't get it but lands a knee. 1-2 by Kelades. One minute in. Kelades doing a decent job with his jab, eats an overhand right and a combination from Beal. Beal stuffs another takedown, Kelades drags him to the fence. Two minutes in. Kelades switching to a single-leg, then a bodylock. Two minutes to go.

Beal reverses and knees the body before they separate. Kelades nearly lands a head kick, does land an overhand right. Good punches by Kelades and he shoots. Beal separates. Beal stuffs another shot, eats a left hand, and immediately shoots again. Beal avoids it and slams Kelades down. Kelades uses the front headlock to escape and presses down on Beal's head. One minute to go. Beal lands a good elbow on the break. Kelades backs him off with some good punches and shoots again. Round ends against the fence. 10-9 Kelades.

Round 3: Kelades looks much much fresher. Counter jab lands for Beal. Straight left from Kelades. Kelades ducks a right hand and shoots in. A terrific scramble ensues and Beal lands on op in guard. One minute in. Beal not doing much to pass or posture up. He stands over Kelades and works to take his back. Two minutes in. Kelades makes it to a knee, Beal stays attached to him. Now Kelades manages to stand and Beal lands a knee on the exit. Lead right lands for Kelades. Two minutes to go.

Kelades stuffs a shot and they swing inside. Hard right hand from Kelades. Check hook from Beal as he eats a right hand. Flurry by Beal, body kick from Kelades. Kelades walking him down, landing solid strikes. One minute to go. They trade brutal punches inside. Front kick by Kelades. Beal catches a kick and cracks him with a good hook. They swing heavy leather until the bell. 10-9 Beal.

Final result: Kelades def. Beal by unanimous decision

155 lbs.: Shane Campbell vs. Elias Silverio

Round 1: Campbell catches a kick, but Silverio's the one who drags him down. The Canadian makes it to his feet and scoots towards the fence with Silverio latched on. One hook in for the Brazilian. One minute in. Silverio uses the fence to get away from the fence and take him down, landing in half guard. Ground-and-pound by Silverio. Two minutes in. Campbell gets butterfly guard. Silverio stands over him, then comes back down into guard. Two minutes to go.

No major ground-and-pound landed as of yet. Campbell tries to sweep and gives up his back in the process. Both hooks in. Campbell manages to spin into top position with a minute to go. Campbell allows him to stand and lands a body kick, after which Silverio ties up. Campbell trips him down, lands a knee, and separates. Lead uppercut and knee land for the Canadian before the bell. 10-9 Silverio.

Round 2: Teep from Campbell, after which they trade kicks. Low kick lands for him. Silverio trips him up with a leg kick and drags him to the fence, immediately looking for the same back-take takedown as before. Back elbow by Campbell impresses the crowd, but Campbell's takedown does more for him. One minute in. Campbell stands over him, then hits a beautiful throw when Silverio latches on. They scramble back up and Campbell takes him down with an ankle pick. Campbell on top against the fence. Two minutes in. Silverio using a knee shield. The Brazilian scrambles up as Campbell holds onto the rear waistlock. Campbell uses a whizzer to fend off a throw and takes the front headlock. Knee to the body. Two minutes to go.

Silverio lets him up and looks to open up on the fence. Silverio shoots in, Campbell fights it off. Counter right lands and he trips Silverio down. One hook in, now to for the Canadian. One minute to go. He's a little low on the back; now he's in a better spot. No major push for the RNC yet. Campbell ends the round on the Brazilian's back. 10-9 Campbell.

Round 3: Low kick from Campbell, then a switch kick attempt. Low kick by Silverio connects as well. They trade low kicks, then Campbell tacks on another. Front kick to the body. One minute in. Silverio shoots in and Campbell cracks him with a knee before sprawling. Silverio makes it to that rear waistlock position once again on the fence. He gets Campbell to a knee. Two minutes in. Back elbow from Campbell. Silverio working for the choke. Campbell works his way back to his feet and lands a couple elbows behind his back. Two minutes to go.

Campbell manages to turn and take him down. They stand and separate. BIG combination by Campbell, uppercut by Silverio. Elbow by Silverio. The Brazilian shoots and takes that rear waistlock again. Campbell manages to land in top position. One minute to go.  Silverio with his feet on Campbell's hips. Good punches by Campbell. Campbell ends the round with some good ground-and-pound. 10-9 Campbell.

Final result: Campbell def. Silverio by unanimous decision

205 lbs.: Misha Cirkunov vs. Daniel Jolly

Round 1: Jolly tossing out kicks early. Right hand lands for Cirkunov. Jolly ducks a head kick an lands a right hand, after which they tie up. Cirkunov hits a lovely throw directly into side control. One minute in. Jolly scrambles his way to the fence and Cirkunov flings him back down. North-south choke attempt, can't get it. Jolly rolls and Cirkunov grabs the seatbelt grip. One hook in for Cirkunov. Two minutes in. Jolly makes it to his feet and dumps Cirkunov onto his back. High guard for the Latvian. Cirkunov threatens deep half guard and Jolly lets him stand. Counter right hand and body kick land for Cirkunov, after which they clinch. Two minutes to go.

Outside trip directly into full mount for Cirkunov. Jolly gives up his back. Ground-and-pound from the Latvian. One minute to go. Solid punches by Cirkunov. He ramps up the intensity and forces the referee to intervene.

Final result: Cirkunov def. Jolly by TKO (punches)
