Hey, remember when we told you Nick Diaz was FINALLY going to appear in front of Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) this Thursday (Aug. 13, 2015) to answer for his failed drug test at the UFC 183 pay-per-view (PPV) event in Las Vegas?
Yeah, forget all of that.
Diaz -- who was expected to fight the power with some "Big Apple" back up -- was removed from this week's agenda due to an attorney "conflict," so the former welterweight No. 1 contender is no closer to making his Octagon return than when he was temporarily suspended nearly six months ago.
MMA Junkie with the update:
Asked when Diaz's hearing will take place, manager Lloyd Pierson wrote via text, "I am not sure."
Pity.
Diaz adds a certain flair to the 170-pound line up that few fighters can match. Unfortunately, his love for Mary Jane has kept him out of the cage on multiple occasions. Anderson Silva, meanwhile, who also tested positive in the wake of UFC 183, is still on the docket.
