UPDATE: UFC has released an official statement on Browne, launching a private investigation into the allegations and pulling him from "Fight Week" activities. To read it click here.
Top Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight contender, Travis Browne, could find himself in hot water with the world's largest mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion after his wife -- Jenna Renee Webb -- took to Instagram to reveal that she was allegedly on the wrong end of "Hapa's" fists.
And she claims to have the horrific pics to prove it.
Probably one of the hardest decisions I've ever made was walking away from this life and starting over. I'm still ashamed for staying as long as I did. #domesticviolenceawareness
Judging by her caption, this wasn't a one-time deal; however, it's important to note that Browne has not been charged with any crime and is of course, innocent until proven guilty.
Webb, a well-known fitness model, hasn't confirmed whether or not she will press criminal chargers against Browne, who she later named in the social media post as her alleged abuser.
The unfortunate news comes just one day after Brittney Palmer's husband was accused of attempted murder after allegedly slamming Palmer on the bed and suffocating her for two long minutes.
After getting knocked out by Andrei Arlovski at UFC 187 a few months ago, Browne now has a bigger battle on his hands. As we've seen in the past, UFC treats domestic violence cases seriously, as Thiago Silva was let go by the company a few days after re-joining the promotion.
And with UFC always looking to legitimize itself as one of the top professional sports in the world, you can bet this matter will be handled with the utmost importance (kind of like this). Which means the days of seeing "Hapa" compete inside the Octagon could be long gone.
As always, keep it tuned to MMAmania.com as more details emerge from this developing story.
