Season 21 of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) has officially wrapped (recap here), and American Top Team (ATT) will send breakout star Hayder Hassan into the live finale against Blackzilians top pick Kamaru Usman.
The action gets underway this Sunday night (July 12, 2015) on FOX Sports 1 from inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The power-punching Hassan (6-1) entered the TUF house on the strength of a four-fight winning streak, and followed that up with another three inside the house, knocking out Andrews Nakahara before taking a pair of decisions over Felipe Portela and Vincente Luque.
Usman (5-1), meanwhile, also won four regional fights before appearing on TUF 21. From there, he was able to capture decision wins over Michael Graves and Steve Carl. "The Nigerian Nightmare" is known for his wrestling, but has all five of his pro wins coming by way of technical knockout.
Fun fight.
TUF 21 Finale will be headlined by the welterweight showdown pitting Jake Ellenberger against Stephen Thompson, capping off International Fight Week just one day after UFC 189, much the same way the one-two punch of UFC 175 and TUF 19 did back in 2014.
