The mourning period for Jose Aldo's injured ribs is over and it's time to get excited for the main event at UFC 189, which takes place one week from today (Sat., July 11, 2015) at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
That means it's also time to check out the "Countdown" to "Mendes vs. McGregor" preview special that is set to air on FOX Sports 1 tomorrow evening (Sunday, July 5 at 8:30 p.m. EST) to market the promotion's upcoming mixed martial arts (MMA) pay-per-view (PPV) extravaganza.
Two Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) straps will be on the line once again as the aforementioned Chad Mendes and Conor McGregor duke it out over who gets to hold the interim Featherweight belt, while the unheralded but highly anticipated rematch between Welterweight Champion Robbie Lawler and Rory MacDonald will serve in the co-main event.
