Before Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's bantamweight titleholder Ronda Rousey and No. 1 contender Bethe Correia square off after a long and tumultuous build-up to their UFC 190 pay-per-view (PPV) headliner tomorrow (Sat., Aug. 1, 2015) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (more on the PPV here), heavyweight and lightweight kingpins Fabricio Werdum and Rafael dos Anjos will field questions from their fellow countrymen and women.
Werdum and Dos Anjos are two of UFC's newest champions, having swiftly defeated past belt holders Cain Velasquez and Anthony Pettis earlier this year. The pair are on incredible Octagon runs -- Werdum is undefeated in his present UFC stint -- and will have much to talk about, but not limited to, taking time off and steroid allegations.
It could be tough talk, or it could be true, but one thing is for certain; Dos Anjos and 155-pound No. 1 contender Donald Cerrone have a huge fight coming up. Before that rematch can happen, however, the Brazilian has to recover from knee surgery.
Both men also train out of King's MMA in California with renowned Muay Thai master Rafael Cordeiro, who has helped elevate their careers. Another one of Cordeiro's current fighters, "Shogun" Rua, has spent time training with the 42-year-old in the states ahead of his UFC 190 rematch with Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
