Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight Wanderlei Silva, who not only burned his bridge with the world's largest mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion but also dropped a MIRV on the surrounding area, claimed his former employers were guilty of fixing fights.
That's a pretty serious charge to levy against an organization, so it should come as no surprise to learn "The Axe Murderer" has now been hit with a lawsuit in Nevada, according to Bloody Elbow, one that alleges "intentional misconduct."
Can't say we didn't see it coming, based on this cryptic tweet.
Things are going from bad to worse for Wandy.
Silva claims he can prove UFC was fixing fights, but has yet to reveal how. While it's no secret "The Axe Murderer" has been trying to get released from his ZUFFA contact in the wake of his suspension from MMA (thanks to this debacle), he could find himself in even more trouble when the court comes calling.
If he's got an ace up his sleeve, now would be a pretty good time to use it.
