Someone is in for a hurting ...

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey and the latest object of her ire, unbeaten Bethe Correia, will settle their differences this Saturday evening (Aug. 1, 2015) as the world's leading mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion hits HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with UFC 190.

In addition, The Ultimate Fighter (TUF): "Brazil" 4 tournaments will finally be decided. Down at Bantamweight, Dileno Lopes will face Reginaldo Vieira, while Team Noguera's last remaining fighter, Fernando Bruno, faces Glaico Franca at Lightweight.

It's an interesting card, at least. If you're not sold on paying $60 for the pay-per-view (PPV), though, here's how to reimburse yourself the stressful way.

UFC 190 Odds For The Undercard:

Demian Maia (-160) vs. Neil Magny (+140)
Patrick Cummins (-160) vs. Rafael Cavalcante (+140)
Warlley Alves (-225) vs. Nordine Taleb (+185)
Iuri Alcantara (-250) vs. Leandro Issa (+210)
Clint Hester (-155) vs. Vitor Miranda (+135)
Hugo Viana (-300) vs. Guido Cannetti (+250)

Thoughts: It’s been fun to follow Hugo Viana’s line on BestFightOdds -- he started at -505, got as low as -165 and was at -195 just yesterday.

Missed opportunity there.

Without a great line for "Wolverine," it might be wisest to play the underdogs here. Iuri Alcantara and Clint Hester have holes in their games that make their opponents, Leandro Issa and Vitor Miranda, respectively, worth betting on.

Alcantara has tremendous power and quality Brazilian jiu-jitsu, but after years of watching opponents exploit his wrestling defense, I don’t have much faith in his ability to handle a top-control specialist. He arguably lost to a much smaller man in Wilson Reis, got taken down six times by Russell Doane, and might be in for another rough night against Issa. The latter has tremendous jiu-jitsu credentials, more than sufficient to handle Alcantara’s bottom game, and ought to be able to grind out "Marajo." He hasn’t got a great chin and Alcantara’s punches are crazy strong, so don’t put too much on him, but a small bet makes sense.

Hester is very big, very strong and very intimidating. What he isn’t is a particularly slick striker, and he tends to brawl when pressured. Miranda has the power to lay out light heavyweights and a skillful kicking arsenal that should pay dividends against "Headbussa." Therefore, try a moderate bet on TUF: "Brazil" 4 veteran.

UFC 190 Odds For The Main Card:

Ronda Rousey (-1700) vs. Bethe Correia (+1100)
Mauricio Rua (-200) vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (+170)
Glaico Franca (-165) vs. Fernando Bruno (+145)
Dileno Lopes (-320) vs. Reginaldo Vieira (+260)
Stefan Struve (-170) vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (+150)
Soa Palelei (-200) vs. Antonio Silva (+170)
Claudia Gadelha (-450) vs. Jessica Aguilar (+360)

Thoughts: Yeah, I’m not touching most of this with a 10-foot pole. Several debuting fighters and lots of degraded veterans means lots of volatile match ups.

Palelei might be worth a look, though.

That's because "Bigfoot" is done. There’s no other way to put it -- ever since the Mark Hunt fight, he’s been slow, fragile and ineffective on the feet. While "Hulk" has plenty of issues of his own, he’s got crushing power, especially when he can get on top. Silva has never had good takedown defense or much of a bottom game -- and against an opponent roughly his size -- that spells trouble.

Parlaying Palelei with Hugo Viana gives even odds, so that’s the parlay to make.

UFC 190 Best Bets:

  • Single bet -- Leandro Issa: Bet $50 to make $105
  • Single bet -- Vitor Miranda: Bet $70 to make $94.50
  • Parlay -- Hugo Viana and Soa Palelei: Bet $140 to make $140

Well, at least we're probably gonna get a bunch of finishes.
