Now that UFC on FOX 16 -- which went down last night (Sat., July 25, 2015) from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois -- is in the books (results here), it's time to look ahead to Ultimate Fighting Championship's (UFC) next pay-per-view (PPV) event.
And it's a good one.
The promotion has released its second video promo for the upcoming UFC 190 PPV event (see the first one here), which is set to pop off on Aug., 1, 2015 from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and will feature a much-anticipated women's bantamweight title fight between division champ, Ronda Rousey, and No. 1 contender, Bethe Correia.
The two women have built up quite a rivalry over the last year, largely because Bethe went a little overboard in her talk trash game after she hit below the belt by mentioning the word suicide in her banter toward Rousey. A big no-no, say "Rowdy," as it is well known that her father took his own life when she was young.
And Bethe's apologies fell on deaf ears, as Ronda has promised to give the Brazilian her comeuppance come fight night.
Also on the card, Mauricio Rua looks to get back on the winning track as he takes in his old PRIDE FC rival, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, in the co-main event bout. "Lil Nog's" older brother, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, makes his long-awaited return to the Octagon as he takes on Stefan Struve in heavyweight action.
