Bellator MMA set out to showcase the strength of its welterweight division with five televised fights in one night at Bellator 140: "Lima vs. Koreshkov" on July 17, 2015.
There were some definite winners and losers at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. One of the biggest winners was Andrey Koreshkov, who took the title from Douglas Lima in a unanimous decision. "The Phenom" simply could not stop the relentless striking and takedowns of "The Spartan" en route to winning the championship.
If Bellator needed strong contenders to face Koreshkov down the road, it turned out a smorgasbord of riches in the fights leading up to the main event. Both Michael Page and Brennan Ward scored highlight-reel first round finishes, and although it took the veteran Paul "Semtex" Daley a little bit longer, he too looked impressive in round two.
To cap off the night and give fans a behind the scenes look at what took place on Spike TV, the promotion produced another "Uncut" highlight reel that you can watch above.
