UFC fighter Aljamain Sterling was ready to choke out Floyd Mayweather for trying to steal his girlfriend

When you're Floyd "Money" Mayweather and you earned a quarter-billion dollars in your last fight, I'm guessing the words "chick magnet" appear on your business card.

But, that doesn't mean everybody is down with OPP, especially Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter Aljamain Sterling (11-0), who said the undefeated boxing champ tried to get his girlfriend to dump him at a pool party.

According to Sterling, the incident happened the day after UFC 187 when Middleweight champion Chris Weidman and Sterling attended the same party as Mayweather. When "Money" made his grand entrance, he pointed up at Sterling's girlfriend and gestured for her to join him.

Although his girlfriend reportedly laughed it off, Mayweather didn't give up the indecent proposal:

"After that, he sends a guy up there. So he comes up by the end, by security, and we come down there. I guess he was telling someone to call the girls and we both end up speaking to the guy. I was like, 'I don't think this guy realizes what he's getting himself into.' I don't care how many guys he's with, he needs to realize this isn't the place where he just picks out any girl he wants and that's not how it works over here by our section. He was like 'You guys can both come over' and I was like 'No thanks, I'm straight.' And at the end of the day if my girlfriend went, it's kind of like -- she can obviously find her bags outside the hotel room, if you get my drift on that. But, so he sends that guy over and I pretty much tell him like it is -- I'm an undefeated MMA fighter, you're an undefeated boxer. If you really want to find out what's better MMA or boxing today, you can come over and we can figure this out."

The incident didn't end there either, as a few minutes later, another member of Mayweather's entourage came over and tried to convince Sterling's girlfriend a second time. A local security guard later told the group that Mayweather does this sort of thing on a regular basis, although I'm guessing with a little bit more success when the women are single.

In Mayweather's defense, Sterling's girlfriend is not lacking for good looks:

Although Sterling downplayed the incident he was clear that Mayweather wouldn't survive in a full contact street fight.

"I would tune that guy up. I would light that guy up something serious. I'd light him up on the feet and then I'd take him down and choke him out. Any which way I wanted to. Any way I wanted. Let's see how many punches he can throw before his ass is on the ground or he gets kicked in the head."

Yikes! Fortunately, cooler heads (in both senses of the word) prevailed and no nastiness ensued.

However, I'm guessing Sterling won't be accepting any invitations to Mayweather's next shindig.
