Former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) superstar CM Punk has heard from critics ever since he announced his intention to become a professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter.
Today (Fri., July 25, 2015), "Punk" will turn his attention toward answering more questions from fans, as well as doubters, at 5:45 p.m. ET following UFC on FOX 16's weigh-in event, which takes place in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois. The entire Q&A event will take place inside United Center, which is roughly two hours away from his nearby Roufusport training camp in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
While he has undergone an intensive MMA boot camp in preparation for an eventual Octagon debut in 2016, "Punk" --whose actual name is Phil Brooks -- has kept himself in the limelight by mocking top contenders, while showing off his ripped physique.
How the 37-year-old "Second City Savior" does in a UFC cage remains to be seen, but we know that his first bout will be contested at Welterweight. For the record, his coaches and former professional wrestling buddies, like Duke Roufus and Paul Heyman, acknowledge his capacity for knowledge and realistic expectations.
