Bellator 141 fight card: Heavyweights Lorenzo Hood and Raphael Butler added to Spike TV line up

Bellator MMA

The build up to Bellator 141: "Guillard vs. Girtz" continues. And Lightweight Melvin Guillard -- who headlines the Spike TV-televised card opposite Brandon Girtz -- won't be the only fighter on the card making his promotional debut.

Bellator MMA has announced a Heavyweight slugfest that open the televised broadcast on Aug. 28, 2015, inside Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California.

"The Samoan Silverback" Lorenzo Hood (9-2) -- a powerful finisher with nine wins by way of knockout and has never had a professional fight go past the first round -- will step into the Bellator cage for the first time ever.

Not all of those finishes are standing strikes, either. In his most recent fight Hood pulled a page out of Quinton "Rampage" Jackson's playbook, finishing his opponent via a hard-hitting power bomb to the canvas.

Standing in his way is professional boxer-turned mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Raphael Butler (9-1-1), who will look to put together his first win streak since 2013 coming off an impressive standing guillotine choke of Josh Diekmann at Bellator 134.

Check out the latest confirmed Bellator 141 fight card below:

Lightweight Main Event: Melvin Guillard (32-14-2, 2) vs. Brandon Girtz (11-4)

Lightweight Co-Main Event: Patricky Freire (13-6) vs. Saad Awad (18-6)

Heavyweight Bout: Raphael Butler (9-1-1) vs. Lorenzo Hood (9-2)
